Navigating the Compact Housing Scene: Ethical Workforce Management

Compact housing is a small but rapidly growing part of the housing market. We're all trying to figure out who the real players are, who's not, who's average, and who's excellent. It's a common challenge in this dynamic and competitive field, and we often find ourselves knowing each other.

Competition is always tough, and there's a shortage of skilled workers and fewer qualified builders. This makes competitors interested in your managers and skilled workers.

People often use the word "poaching" when talented employees are hired from another company. Some businesses think this is wrong or even against the law.

But there's another way to look at it.

Employees aren't just assets or robots working for a paycheck. They are people with their own likes, interests, skills, and most importantly, the freedom to choose.

In simple terms, a company can't force its employees to make specific choices; individuals can decide what they want to do.

So, why would someone leave your great workplace?

Mostly, an employee leaves for a new opportunity with your competitors.

There are different reasons why employees might not be happy with your company. It could be a difficult manager, a bad company culture, or just a general feeling of dissatisfaction. If this is happening with one of your best employees, talk to them openly. If there are good reasons to keep them, try to make things better.

But if they're still not happy, don't try to make them stay with a better offer. It just keeps an unhappy person in your company, and they'll leave when they can.

Help your employees invest in your company, and you'll see the value they bring because they want to.
